Cotto is produced in traditional methods where special soil from Toscana is mixed like it was done 1,000 years ago. The soil was mixed according to a formula of cotto craftsman from region of Florence and dried for two months, later it was put in wooden dishes and cooked in over 1000 degrees
The first cotto produced in Italy and overall is called Ashnu cotto and it is the same cotto R.A.L imports to Israel. The best soil for producing cotto is in Toscana and there are even a few products suitable for indoors such as a type called "Menti Gozmano" and "Frona". The colors are elegant, warm and traditional. It is possible to purchase the cotto with polish or rough finish. .
